Retail packaging design for a CAT branded extension cord. The design needed to carry CAT's bold, rugged brand identity while clearly communicating product specs and features while on store shelves.
The Challenge
CAT is known for tough, job site ready equipment, and I wanted to create packaging that lived up to that reputation. It also had to communicate key specs at a quick glance, and it needed to have a trilingual design (English, French, Spanish) for retail distribution, all within CAT's brand guidelines.
The Solution
Designed die line packaging built around CAT's signature yellow and black color branding. with clear iconography calling out key features. Bold callouts for length and wire spec make the product easy to shop, while keeping that rugged design, textured background reinforces the "Built for It" trademark.
